Each year, we have embarked on a series of fundraising initiatives and activities. In 2023 we supported charities and good causes to raise over £40,000 across Essex. These efforts were made possible by the collective dedication of our employees, partners, clients, and the communities we operate in. Some of the highlights include:
On 21st September 2023, we hosted a Property Dinner with Lisa Snowden in aid of the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Charity. The evening of networking, fine dining fun and laughter raised over £15,000.
The Essex and Herts Air Ambulance Charity plays a vital role in providing critical medical care and swift transportation to those facing life-threatening emergencies. This year, they are celebrating 25 years of life saving service. They have astonishingly attended over 33,500 missions since their first flight in 1998.
At the beginning of this year, we launched our Food & Thought appeal to help tackle food poverty in Essex. We asked our staff and the local community to offer food and thought, by donating an item(s) of non-perishable, tinned or dry food to one of our 17 drop off points across our branch network.
An Essex charity for families with children and young people who have any additional need or disability. In June 2023, the Beresfords Foundation took a significant step towards creating a positive impact in our community with a new partnership with the SNAP Charity. Through this unique collaboration, we have pledged to donate £10 to SNAP for every property sale and letting completion across Brentwood, Ingatestone, and Shenfield until June 2024.
In addition to this, we teamed up with the Shenfield Wine company, Lady Penelope Wines and the Silverhand Estate to host an evening of wine tasting on the 30th November 2023 for all our clients and corporate friends to raise funds and awareness for SNAP. The event was an incredible success and over £17,000 was raised on the evening.
We are delighted to share the incredible news that over the past year, from July 2022 to July 2023, we have raised a remarkable total of £5,020 in support of St. Francis Hospice from all sales and lettings completions in the Havering area. This achievement reflects our commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of those in need and strengthening the bond between our business and the community we serve.
In the first few months of the year, we offered the opportunity to have one lucky winner have their bills paid for the year for up to £2,000!
