Interior twists – What we love this summer

30th July 2020

Whether you update your interiors frequently or you're planning a long awaited revamp, we're sharing some of our favourite interior trends for this summer to give you some serious inspiration!

Be bold

Many people are scared of colour, but it can make a positive difference in a room by creating the right ambience or a feeling of added space. If you are unsure, test out lots of different colours, you can grab paint testers for a few pounds and be sure to try the testers in different areas of the room as the light will hit differently. It might be an idea to paint a smaller room and just the one wall to add mood and effect if you don't want to go the whole hog.

Colours we love

Teal, navy and emerald green are all having a real moment! These rich colours aren't for those who like to keep a neutral feel across their home. Try one wall in one of these colours or perhaps even try painting a piece of furniture. If you really love the idea, kitchen cabinets look great in a statement colour like one of the above.

Make a statement

Feature walls may have been around for a while using wallpaper and paint, but there is a new kid on the block.

Panelling looks super chic and is simple to do. You can buy wood panels for a reasonable price and there are plenty of tutorials online if you fancy a bit of DIY!

Picture frame collages and mirror tiles also make great statement walls, it just depends what suits your style best!

Going green - Foliage rooms

What better way to create your own fresh air then having a room full of greenery. More and more people are creating indoor spaces with a variety of exotic plants for their health and the aesthetic.

We love: The contrast of soft foliage and exotic cactus to create an interesting display.

Dividing opinion

Some people love the idea of an open plan space, whilst others prefer a divide of dining and living. This quick trick will help you to create a different feel to one space by adding a simple shelving unit.
