By the Beresfords Marketing Team - 27th December 2012
Alongside ensuring our customers are in their new homes for Christmas, our branch staff have been meeting with some of the many remarkable charities that operate in Essex.
As part of our ‘12 days before Christmas’ campaign, each of our 11 branches nominated a charity to share a pot of £2,700 with. Those selected have been announced daily on our website and Twitter feed (@Beresfords) from the 12th to 23rd December.
Last week I introduced you to the first six charities to receive a donation, and below are the festive final six:
Craig Job met with Strongbone at the Hornchurch branch to present them with their donation. The Essex based charity provides support to families who have children with bone conditions.
The Ingatestone branch chose to donate to local charity The Remus Horse Sanctuary. Seen here with Denise Morris the charity provides care and rehabilitation for 200 horses, ponies, donkeys and even cows, sheep and cats.
Our Shenfield branch hopes their donation to Kids Inspire, and presented by Mike Wilson, will help to motivate disadvantaged young people in Essex.
Oliver Brain (left) and Christopher Dutton (right) from our Upminster branch donated to First Step which provides support and a place to learn for pre-school children with special needs.
Independent charity Homestart received a donation from Sharon Carpenter (left) at our Writtle branch. The charity’s 30 volunteers support more than 100 families who are struggling with young children in the area.
Our final charity donation was to the Essex Air Ambulance which was nominated by everyone at Beresfords to receive £500. Director Terry Holmes met some of the crew at their base in Earls Colne. The charity undoubtedly provides a vital service and needs an incredible £250,000 each month to be able to operate.
Our charitable donations have continued throughout the year and we hope we can continue to support a number of local charities next year.
Finally, I look forward to reading your thoughts on our blog in 2013 and wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
