On Friday, January 6th, Beresfords employees hunted through their wardrobes and drawers to find something red to wear for the British Heart Foundation’s (BHF) Wear It. Beat It campaign.
This national initiative by the BHF was about people showing their support by wearing red and hosting an event to help fund the charities lifesaving research. Through making donations to wear something red, Beresfords employees raised £265.18! This was also topped up by bake sales and a partnership with Pizza Hut, Chelmer Village who kindly supplied Beresfords with red topped pizzas to sell.
Nicki Treffers, Marketing Manager of Beresfords, said “With one in four people being affected by Heart Disease in the UK, the BHF’s work is essential to help those who are affected by this disease. As soon as we heard about their Wear It. Beat It campaign we were keen to offer our support and I’m delighted with how imaginative our staff have been with their red attire and look forward to working closely with The British Heart Foundation in the future”.
Last September Beresfords were proud supporters of the BHF’s Bag It. Beat It campaign whereby staff donated unwanted clothing to the charity and Beresfords offices contained donation points for local residents to hand over their unwanted clothes.
