Beresfords Group is building for the future with the announcement of several new appointments to the company's growing workforce, and in particular the expansion of its Land & New Homes team.
Of special note is the arrival of two new senior Directors, Richard Bray and Ross Morley, to strengthen the firm's commitment to identifying opportunities to build new homes that benefit present and future residents of Essex, as well as the environment.
Richard started his career training as a Chartered Surveyor and Valuer in 1997 before, in 2015 he switched career paths and began working in land acquisition and project management for PLC housebuilders and niche developers (specialising in the conversion of listed buildings). Also in 2015, Richard become a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Building and set up a new company providing specialist advice to developers.
Now, Richard has joined the Beresfords Group as Development Director and will continue specialising in issues relating to the viability of development, affordable housing and s106 negotiations, working closely with numerous developers and housing associations to source new land opportunities and advise in the promotion of strategic land interests.
Meanwhile, Ross joins Beresfords Group as Land Director and will use his experience to identify development opportunities, both with and without planning permission, to then work closely with housebuilders and developers to secure them.
Ross has extensive experience and knowledge in land acquisition and planning, having started his career some 29 years ago. During his career of close to 30 years, he has worked for large PLC housebuilders and niche developers who specialised in alternative affordable housing, as well as for a major retirement housing provider. During his career, Ross has worked primarily in the south east of England covering Essex, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and North London.
In addition to these high-profile external appointments, Beresfords Group has continued its policy of promoting talent within the business. Among these success stories is Joe Waller, who has moved up from New Homes Consultant to Assistant New Homes Manager at Beresfords Group after six years with the firm. Continuing the dedication to this new area of growth for the company, Ben Kohler has also joined the team as New Homes Apprentice.
