Beresfords branches out after acquiring Foxton Hayes

By the Beresfords Marketing Team - 2nd May 2013

Building on such a successful history of almost half a century, and with over 20 offices and departments already well-situated within Essex, for Paul, there were many reasons why Great Dunmow was ideal for the newest Beresfords branch:

“To be honest, Great Dunmow is somewhere we’ve wanted to go for a number of years, but you have to wait for the right opportunity to come up. Like a lot of things, there is not just one single reason. All the pieces have to be in place to make a decision like that.

“Firstly, the property market in the area is buoyant and as always with our expansion plans, every office has been opened as part of an overall plan.”

“Great Dunmow is already well-known to us. We have for a number of years been handling substantial equestrian and country homes within the local area. Therefore, the Beresfords name will be quite familiar to a number of local residents and of course as a brand we have been established since 1968.”

What is particularly important for Paul is that the Beresfords branch will not be starting from scratch, having previously been local estate agent Foxton Hayes.

“The Foxton Hayes brand has been successful in Dunmow for 20 years, therefore the staff at the office know the area very well and respect the needs of local clients and the community. Combining this local knowledge with the level of experience that the Beresfords’ team members have who are transferring to the office, allows the two brands to blend together perfectly.”

“Combining the above with Beresfords 45 year history and a network of offices across the county and into London, backed by some of the most comprehensive and modern marketing initiatives, we believe will allow clients in Dunmow the ultimate coverage from probably the most established company in the region.”

“In Foxton Hayes there was an established, independent family estate agency. Clients will have that in Beresfords, alongside a working ethos dating back almost 50 years and comprehensive marketing support thanks to a network of offices throughout Essex and into Greater and Central London. Therefore, clients will see a significant difference in how their properties are marketed in Great Dunmow by reaching such a wide ranging area within the south east.”

“Undoubtedly having that ability to access thousands of potential purchasers and tenants outside of the immediate area and back into London, together with our Residential Magazine which is distributed across the county to over 270,000 homes, will undoubtedly give our clients in Dunmow coverage that is not available at any other agency”, explains Paul.

“The software we use at every branch allows access to all properties, purchasers and tenants. Therefore, Great Dunmow properties will immediately be able to be offered throughout our network of offices, and particularly to those further south in the County and into London”.

“From our data we know that up to 40% of house hunters looking in north Essex are not from the local area but are moving out from further south in the County. This happens to be where Beresfords branches are located and our new Great Dunmow office will market properties to every one of those buyers and tenants.”

“There is no question that the quality housing stock around Dunmow will greatly appeal to purchasers and tenants coming from south of the County and we look forward to working with the Foxton Hayes team in achieving the best for our clients in Dunmow”.
