2022 Charity Summary

Take a look at some of the great charity events that we have participated in throughout 2022.

The Beresfords Group announced in August that it will be donating £10 to Saint Francis Hospice for every property sale and letting completion throughout our Havering network (Gidea Park, Upminster, Harold Wood and Hornchurch). Saint Francis Hospice specialises in providing care for any person, from any faith or cultural background, who have been diagnosed with a serious illness who are living in Havering, Brentwood, Barking and Dagenham, Redbridge or West Essex. Saint Francis Hospice offers experienced, compassionate advice and support.

We have raised £1,100 so far with plenty more to come!

On Thursday 15th September, 12 members of the Beresfords team took part in a tandem sky dive for MIND charity.

MIND believe that no one should have to face a mental health problem alone. They offer support and advice to anyone experiencing a mental health problem.

Without donations and fundraising activities, MIND would be unable to offer this fantastic service which is why we decided to support such an inspirational charity.

The team had a fun packed, adrenaline filled day and together through amazing teamwork they not only supported each other, they managed to raise over £6,000 which is a huge achievement!

Our Marketing and New Business Director, Nicki Treffers took part in a 568km bike ride in Botswana over a 5-day period to raise money for Norwood charity.

Norwood makes an invaluable difference to people's lives. They have a multi-disciplinary team of practitioners and a family of services designed specifically to support vulnerable children and their families, and children with special educational needs.

Long cycling distances along highways travelled by freely roaming elephants, the African Bush, the heat and camping under the stars was a challenge felt on so many different levels and was well rewarded by the experience.

Nicki raised over a staggering £4,600 which is an incredible contribution to help support such an amazing charity!

For every goal that England scored during the World Cup we donated £100 to the Beresfords Foundation. The foundation is a charitable fund set up with Essex Community Foundation in 2016 to support some of the less well-known charities in the region. Not only was this a great opportunity to support local charities but it was also a great way to cheer the three lions on.

We are delighted to announce that we donated a total of £1,300, well done England!

In December, some of the marketing team headed down to volunteer at the Salvation Army in Romford to help pack Christmas gifts for children that are in need.

The team said “It was a fulfilling, heart-warming experience to be a part of. We are honoured that we could support such a worthy cause and bring joy during this festive period”.

We believe that every child should wake up to a present to unwrap on such a festive today, so it was a pleasure to help a worthy cause!
