Living in Hornchurch

Thanks to Hornchurch’s close proximity to the City and all its modern day facilities, the area has grown to be highly desirable. The vibrant high street with its wide variety of shops, pubs and restaurants cater for most needs. However, Romford with its large shopping centre and famous market is only a stone’s throw away.

Being part of Greater London Hornchurch is well served by London buses and also has District Line Underground stations at Hornchurch, Upminster Bridge and Elm Park. What’s more the London Borough of Havering now has three stations on the Elizabeth line making connectivity to the City, West End and beyond even easier.

Just a few hundred yards from the town centre is Emerson Park Station. Whilst only a branch line, it connects in one stop to main line services at Romford (Liverpool Street) in one direction and Upminster (Fenchurch Street) the other.

Harrow Lodge Park with its river, two lakes, and acres of greenery is a beautiful spot to enjoy a break from town centre bustle and also Hornchurch Country Park. There’s an abundance of sporting and leisure facilities including Abbs Cross Leisure Centre and the highly regarded Queens Theatre.
