Beresfords raise money for the Rheumatoid Arthritis Society

By The Beresfords Marketing Team - 15 April 2011

On Friday 8th July a team of energetic people from Beresfords will enter the 5th annual King Sturge Property Triathlon at Dorney Lake, Eton. The event consists of a team relay where the members will participate in a 750m swim, 20km bike ride and a 5K run.

Those taken part will be Ray Cline, Beresfords Associate Director who will be donning a wet suit for the open water swim; Alison Horsley, Beresfords Lead Generation Centre Manager who will take over from Ray on the bike and Nigel Jessup, Beresfords Chelmsford Office Manager who will be bringing the team home with the run.

All money raised by the team will be donated to Rheumatoid Arthritis Society who provides support and information for people with Rheumatoid Arthritis and Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis, their families, friends and carers.

Co-sponsored by Property Week and coordinated by Human Race, the King Sturge Property Triathlon is now firmly established as one of the UK's largest triathlons. To date, the event has raised over £750,000 for charity.

Alison Horsely, commented: “As the newly nominated Beresfords triathlete team we have been training very hard! All of the team enjoys a challenge, and we are keen to take part in new adventures, so we had no hesitation in putting ourselves forward for this event.”

“We would be very grateful to anyone who could donate money to this fantastic cause as it will most definitely spur the team on, when leaving the lake cold and wet, with wind in our faces from the bike ride and the cramp that will come from the running!”
