Summer brings with it fetes, carnivals and country fairs. Beresfords have been busy supporting such events across the region recently and look forward to continuing with this support throughout the year.
Here's a brief roundup of what we've been up to.
On Saturday 9th July Beresfords were proud to support the Witham carnival by taking part in the procession, supplying sponsorship boards across the local area promoting the event and also offering free pace painting throughout the day at our newly opened branch.
Local towns and villages often have traditions and tales which date back centuries. This is certainly true of Great Dunmow and the Flitch Trials. Tourists come tens of thousands of miles to compete in this event which dates back to 1104 and are held in the town every four years. The trials ask couples to convince a judge and jury that they have not 'not wisht themselves unmarried again', with the winning couples each presented with their very own flitch of bacon!

To help promote the event Beresfords provided the organisers with sponsorship boards during the run up to the event, handed out balloons and also delicious donuts courtesy of Dunkin Donuts.

Saturday, 9th July, was certainly a busy day for us as we also supported and attended the Writtle fete. We had our Beresfords stand on the green, gave out balloons and ran a guess the number of sweets in the jar competition. The lucky winner was Gary Hall who is the proud winner of over 800 sweets! We also provided sponsorship boards during the run up to the event to help advertise it.
As the main sponsors of this event, we not only helped promote it via marketing and sponsorship boards but also attended on the day and ran special activities to help keep the children busy and happy! They were given the opportunity to plant seeds, paint the plant pots and then take them home to watch the seeds grow. We had a great time on the day not only working with the children but also soaking up the atmosphere and also the great music.
We've got many more events coming up including the Witham Real Ale Festival between the 23rd - 24th of September and the Gosling Cup on the 28th August to name just a few.
If you're organising an event and are looking for sponsorship please contact the marketing team with full details. We will consider all requests but unfortunately we do have a budget that we must adhere to.
