According to a study prepared by Lend Invest, three Essex towns are considered to be amongst the best in the UK if you are looking to buy a property to rent out. Colchester came in second place ahead of major cities, including Manchester and Birmingham, and topped the list for the best capital gain returns.
Southend on Sea featured in fifth place, having witnessed a great deal of general investment into the area over the last 10 years, including Southend Airport, which is now flourishing. Romford was also amongst the country's elite, and this has no doubt been boosted by Crossrail's impending arrival into the area.
