Move to Great Dunmow

Great Dunmow is a historic market town and civil parish in Essex that is becoming an increasingly popular location choice for those considering relocating. The town lies on the River Chelmer and offers plenty of stunning countryside, excellent transport links, and a strong sense of community, which makes it ideal for families, commuters, and retirees alike!

The town was once a small Roman development, and there is still strong evidence to support claims of roman settlement in Great Dunmow. The town began to prosper in 1253, as a result of being granted a market charter and the rest is history! Dunmow means Meadow on the Hill and was previously referred to as Dunmow Magna or Much Dunmow but is now most commonly known as Great Dunmow.
